Quick Solution to Inaccurate date Error on WhatsApp Messenger

If you're currently going through this, I must say that I know how frustrating it is cos I've also gone through this sometimes back.

It's very annoying when you're trying to setup WhatsApp messenger on your device but this annoying screen won't just give you a break.

Well, it's one of those ways WhatsApp ensures a better communication between you and your friends as some features of the messenger depends solely on your device's date, features like the last seen feature and daily chat backup.

But, sometimes you actually have everything well setup on your device but WhatsApp still refuses to grant you the access to your chats yet. In this case then it's very certain you are currently running an outdated version of the messenger on your device.

To quickly get through this error, double check your device's time and date and be sure it's very correct. You can also set your date settings to automatic update and perform a soft reboot before reattempting to run WhatsApp again.

If the above does not work, it means you need an update, you can get an update from Google playstore, Whatsapp website or from a friend.

If you don't have an update yet, you can see what you're missing here as WhatsApp has been taking some steps recently to improve the user experience with the app. Features like voice call, better design amongst others have been introduced.

WhatsApp for Android Gets Updated with a New Sleek and Material Design

After the introduction on the WhatsApp call feature and it's availability for all android users, WhatsApp thinks it's time to give a matured look and feel to it's Android app.

And now, the update is here and it allows you to have access to more features in addition to the WhatsApp call already established.

What's In The Update?

In fact, there's a total change in the app's look, on the top on the chat screen is the noticeable material look just like that of Playstore and Gmail apps. Just immediately below it is the tabs for call, chats and contacts which now sticks to the top as you scroll down.

Contacts DP which is aligned to the left of the list is now enclosed in a circle and you can view your friend's profile pictures directly from there.

You can also disable WhatsApp receipts (the blue double ticks that shows when a message is seen and read) in the privacy settings.

Plus! There's an option to turn on popups for notifications and you can directly send an instant reply without having to launch the main app. Here's a preview:

If there are any new features, it means I haven't noticed it but you can actually install the update to stay in the trend and enjoy a easier chat.

How Do I Download/Update it?

Just like I said the update applies to Android users only, it is not yet available on Google Playstore as at the time of this post but you download and install the apk directly from the WhatsApp website which can be accessed in the link below.
